At Home in Mother Nature
The vagabond is an adventurer who chooses to conduct his journey in poetry,
always at home where she/he may be.
Whether on a Canoe Expedition, a thrilling White Water Experience or a Family Weekend Outing with friends.
Our adventures go beyond the ordinary.
At Boreal Vagabonds we live in, with and through the boreal. Focusing on bonding experiences with the splendid ecosystems we roam, both cognitive learning and creative engagement form an integral part of our journeys.
As such, not only fishing and nature photography, but also, berry, herb and mushroom picking, painting and writing are encouraged.
Our Focus:
- Canoe Expeditions and Whitewater Adventures
- Custom tailored voyages from Quebec to the
Yukon
- Manitoba Specials (East Side Rivers such as the
Bloodvein ( Canadian Heritage River and soon
to be UNESCO World Heritage)
- Organic Kitchen
Ecological Commitment:
A percentage of our profits goes to the protection of Manitoba's East Side (part of the words largest remaining section of boreal forest, undissected by all weather roads) and its threatened woodland caribou.
While local First Nations in collaboration with a number of environmental organizations and the UNESCO are working on the creation of the Pimachiowin Aki World Heritage Site, forestry, hydro and mining industry are increasingly voicing their interrests in the region.
Current efforts to protect this unequaled treasure for future generations, need your support.
Send a letter to the Manitoba Government stating your support of the World Heritage site: NRDC Biogems
